The Krieghoff Trophy on June 13 and 14 was a complete success and marked a very special milestone: on the occasion of its 140th anniversary, Krieghoff took the opportunity to revive the long-standing Krieghoff Trophy!
For the first time since 2005, the event was held again and will now become a fixed date in the calendar. From now on, the Trophy is planned to take place every two years.
With excellent summer weather and a fantastic atmosphere, we enjoyed two exciting and highly challenging days of competition at one of Europe’s most beautiful sporting clay grounds.
Special thanks go to Markus Leibinger and all his helpers. The excellent organization by the Dornsberg team and the tireless commitment of everyone on site ensured an absolutely smooth event.
A truly outstanding extra: the Dornsberg shooters also generously provided a total of 25,000 rounds of ammunition as prizes for the winners of the various categories and for the raffle.
The course, designed by World Champion and target setter Ben Husthwaite, offered plenty of variety and delivered top-class sport. In addition to the regular competition, the integrated “Target Impossible” added an extra thrill.
An international field of participants
With a total of 232 participants — 206 men and 26 women — the Trophy had been fully booked for weeks.
We are especially proud of the strong international response: participants from 13 nations made the event a truly international success.

The grand finale: the K-80 raffle
The excitement reached its peak during the award ceremony on Sunday evening. Among all shooters present, the weekend’s main prize was raffled off.
We warmly congratulate Ueli Galli from Switzerland, who had luck on his side and will receive a brand-new Krieghoff K-80 shotgun built for him.
Alongside the competition, many visitors took the opportunity to enjoy the supporting program at the venue, test current Krieghoff products on the demo course, or make use of the on-site service provided by our gunsmiths.
A big thank you also goes to the kitchen team of the Dornsberg shooters for the fantastic catering, as well as to our partners Land Rover, represented by the Auer Group, Hanwag, Castellani, and DLV Verlag with its magazine Pirsch.
